The Swedish automaker has teased its upcoming Volvo EX60, an all-electric version of the XC60 SUV. The short clip from the official video release for the new ES90 saloon shows what the upcoming EX60 EV would look like. However, it's unlikely to receive the same C-shaped rear lights as the new ES90 and smaller EX30 are now getting vertical lights connected by a light bar structured across the width. It's still anticipated that the Volvo EX60 will retain its same chunky and sturdy look as in Volvo's lineup.

Volvo EX60 is announced to officially debut in 2026, followed by EX90. The automaker has confirmed the upcoming EX60 SUV will be based on the brand's new underpinnings, SPA3, from the currently available SPA2 in EX90 and ES90.
Volvo has described it as a scalable solution, meaning the same technology can be used for smaller models than the EX30 and the larger variant than the EX90. The upcoming Volvo EV is anticipated to receive 800V tech, as found in the new Volvo ES90, offering super-fast charging with speeds of up to 350kW and 10-80% charge in just 20 minutes. The EX60 would also feature the same upgraded software that allows over-the-air updates.

However, the technical details like the horsepower the EX60 produces or what sort of battery pack it would be offered in the market are not available now. The Volvo EX90 comes mated with a 107kWh battery and delivers a claimed range of 374 miles on a single charge.
For the interior, it's likely to receive similar tech found in ES90, featuring a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 9-inch driver display, and a head-up display. The model will also get integrated Google services like Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Waze.
Volvo EX60 will likely rival the Tesla Model Y, which uses similar battery technology and has a claimed range of 387 miles. The upcoming Volvo EV and Tesla Model Yo EV will compete with the Audi Q6 e-tron, BMW iX3, and Porsche Macan electric.
