In the world of motorsport, a limited number of cars embody Toyota’s racing spirit, such as the GR Supra. Initially born for track performance and later manufactured for on-road driving, Toyota is finally going to mark the end of an era with the GR Supra MkV Final Edition, celebrating six years of the fifth-generation Supra that performs exceptionally on race tracks and winding roads globally.
In 2019, after a 17-year hiatus, the Toyota Supra was relaunched in the market; it was not just a revival of a nameplate but a complete restoration of performance legacy. Since its debut in 2019, MkV Supra showcased its capabilities in some of motorsport’s toughest arenas, including Formula Drift and grueling Nurburgring 24 Hours. Every Supra introduced was comprehensively tested, tuned, and refined by Toyota GAZOO Racing engineers and drivers. The philosophy of Kaizen, the continuous improvement, has kept the car equally competitive year after year, and now, for 2026, that spirit comes to the Final Edition.
As the MkV Final Edition, Toyota celebrates the refinement and raw performance of this iconic model. In the last iteration of the Supra race car, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has offered improved traction and control features to lower understeer and sharpen responsiveness.
There are also Brembo brakes, which include larger discs for strong and more consistent braking power, as well as an updated chassis and suspension setup that has been reworked around camber angles, stiffer bushings, shock absorbers, and an under-body brace for better stability and grip. A carbon fiber ducktail spoiler, wheel arch flaps, and other aerodynamic elements have also been improved for top-end performance.
For visual appeal, the Final Edition gets matte-black 19-inch wheels, carbon fiber accents, and interior dressed in Alcantara, leather, and red highlights. The customers also have options to get exclusive extras, including a GR cupholder cover and a camo car cover. For race-inspired touch and feel, the GT4 Style Pack is also available, allowing customers to select from matte color options, including Burnout and Undercover, plus GT4-style graphics and other related detailings.
Under the hood, the Toyota GR Supra continues to get power from a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, delivering 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. This engine setup allows this supercar to sprint 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with an 8-speed automatic transmission or 4.2 seconds with a manual transmission.
Both automatic and manual transmissions are tuned for performance. There are three drive modes, including Normal, Sport, and Individual, to adjust the performance based on road conditions or driver preferences.
Inside the cabin, Supra offers a fusion of minimalism and modern technology, including an 8.8-inch touchscreen with a rotary controller, a JBL premium audio system with up to 12 speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay, Qi charging, and a head-up display. There are also several safety features available, like a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, and dynamic radar cruise control. In each variant of the Supra Final Edition, Toyota has offered Toyota Supra Connect, providing real-time traffic updates, remote services, and emergency assistance.
With every GR vehicle, Supra customers are also eligible to receive a 1-year NASA membership, including free High Performance Driving Event and discounts for track days, allowing owners to experience the true performance of their car. Toyota has also backed the final edition of GR Supra with a solid warranty and ToyotaCare, covering 2-year or 40,000 km scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance.
The production of the MkV GR Supra will end in Spring 2026, while the arrival at the dealership is scheduled for Spring 2025.
