As of January 2025, UAE petrol prices are AED 2.43 for EPlus 91, AED 2.50 for Special 95, and AED 2.61 for Super 98, while diesel is priced at AED 2.68 per litre. These rates are effective from January 1 and will remain unchanged throughout the month. For the first time in over three years, fuel prices have stayed the same as the previous month. The next fuel price update is expected in February 2025.

Since fuel prices remain unchanged, the per-kilometre running costs will be the same as in December 2024. A 40-litre fuel tank can save up to AED 4.80, while a 135-litre tank allows consumers to save up to AED 16.20 per full tank compared to November 2024.
Before 2015, fuel prices were heavily subsidized by the government, shielding them from fluctuations. In September 2015, prices were liberalized to match global oil trends. The Fuel Price Committee sets fuel rates in the UAE, and further changes are anticipated in the coming months.
