Jeep has unveiled the first official images of the new generation Cherokee before its full debut by the end of this year. After a decade-long production run, production of the Jeep Cherokee was discontinued in 2023. Following a two-year pause, Jeep plans to relaunch the model to fill the gap between the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The new generation Cherokee boasts Jeep's latest design language, which was also seen in the 3rd Gen Compass. In the front, the SUV features an iconic seven-slot grille flanked by a larger rectangular-shaped headlight setup. The front bumper comprises black plastic cladding with an air dam on the bottom side and silver accents on both ends.
The side profile gets new alloy wheels, added plastic cladding, and Cherokee lettering on the front door. There is also a blacked-out roof and pillars to further relevant the design profile of the SUV. However, the rear images of the Jeep Cherokee weren't revealed, but it's likely to get a large rectangular light bar similar to the latest Compass.
The automaker also kept interior announcements for its full reveal later in the year. The upcoming Jeep Cherokee will get a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 3-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, and an all-digital instrument cluster.
The Jeep Cherokee will underpin Stellantis' STLA Large architecture, making it capable of supporting multiple powertrain configurations. Jeep may launch its new Cherokee with hybrid, petrol, and full-electric powertrain options. Rumors suggest that the SUV will get the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, making up to 510 horsepower.
For the electric version of Cherokee, the automaker can offer a similar configuration to the Jeep Wagoneer S, featuring a 100kWh battery and two electric motor setups. This configuration produces 600 horsepower and 617 pound-feet of torque. However, both the speculated options will be detuned for Cherokee.
Jeep may launch a new Cherokee by the end of this year, while sales will begin in 2026. There are currently no details available regarding the launch of the Jeep Cherokee SUV in the UAE. However, considering the high demand for Jeep SUVs, especially the Grand Cherokee, this model may be introduced in the market at a later stage.
