The drag coefficient has been reduced from 0.23 to 0.22, enhancing range. Acceleration has also improved, with the Long Range model now achieving 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, down from 5.0 seconds.
The Model Y utilizes a monocoque chassis engineered to optimize crash energy absorption. Its advanced driver assistance features include a forward-facing Autopilot camera and blind spot indicators seamlessly integrated into the side mirrors, enhancing its autonomous driving capabilities.
The interior features an OTA-enabled touchscreen that displays animations for lane changes during autonomous driving. The vehicle includes a Standard Autopilot system, with optional upgrades to Enhanced or Full Self-Driving packages.
The Model Y Juniper starts at 263,500 renminbi in China (approximately $35,900), reflecting a 5.4% price increase over the previous model. Deliveries in China are set for March, with a U.S. launch scheduled for spring 2025. Additional regional rollout details will follow.
The 2025 Model Y Juniper introduces significant updates, enhancing both design and performance, while retaining its status as a top contender in the global EV market.
