Tensor, a renowned agentic AI company, has officially made an announcement of launching its Tensor Robocar, positioning it as the world's first personally owned Level 4 autonomous vehicle. The Tensor Robocar will be debuted at Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport 2025, considered one of the UAE's leading global innovation platforms. It will be the first time that Tensor will publicly showcase its cutting-edge innovation in the Middle East, marking a great milestone in the company's mission to transform transportation.

The Tensor Robocar has been built on a decade of proprietary engineering, advanced AI, and ground-up design for autonomy. As a result, the company ensured what a personal vehicle can be, liberating potential users with choice, privacy, and true ownership of AI. On this update, Amy Luca, Chief Marketing Officer at Tensor, said that they are excited to bring the company to Dubai, a city that embodies innovation and forward thinking. Luca also highlighted that it's not a concept but the world's first real personal Robocar.

Tensor Robocar isn't a regular car or EV; it's a category-defining product or an agentic robot on wheels. Every possible aspect of this future-ready vehicle has been optimized for AI, safety, and reliability. With over 100 carefully and smartly integrated sensors, including 37 cameras, 5 lidars, and 11 radars, Tensor ensures uncompromised visibility. Radar transparent materials, unobstructed lidar sightlines, and a low hood profile showcase the brand's focus on a safety-first philosophy. Tensor has also equipped its Robocar with advanced electrical and electronic architecture that offers full-stack redundancy across power, communication, and control.
It is also powered by the Tensor Foundational Model that helps Robocar learn perceptions, prediction, and planning from vast real-world and simulated datasets. Based on Transformer architecture and advanced sensor fusion, it properly navigates dust, night, fog, desert glare, and heavy rain. The Tensor's dual-system AI mirrors human cognition; System 1 delivers fast, reflexive responses, whereas System 2 uses a multimodal Visual Language Model for higher-order reasoning in rare and complex edge cases.
Tensor Robocar has been equipped with advanced features like intelligent sensor-cleaning, protective sensor covers, autonomous parking and charging, continuous self-diagnosis and readiness checks, and capabilities to operate autonomously, adapt intelligently, and put freedom and control back in the hands of individuals.
It has been exclusively built for SAE Level 4 to meet or exceed global safety standards like FMVSS, UN/ECE, and GSO standards like MOIAT conformity, and to secure IIHS Top Safety Pick+, Euro NCAP, and US NCAP 5-star. Importantly, all data, including location, preferences, and records, is processed and stored locally on the vehicle, with end-to-end encrypted access via the app or onboard surface.
