Suzuki has announced that the production version of its first all-electric SUV, the eVX, will be launched in January 2025. The debut is expected in India during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo from January 17th to 22nd.
The Suzuki eVX will be produced in India with an annual target of about 150,000 units. Most of these vehicles are intended for export. The eVX is expected to launch early next year in Japan and Europe.
The Suzuki eVX will use a skateboard platform and offer two battery options, with a range of up to 550 km. Buyers can choose between dual-motor or single-motor setups. Key features include a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS.
The eVX is expected to have large alloy wheels, split LED headlights, electrically adjustable front seats, and rear door handles on the C-pillar. It might also feature a flat-bottom steering wheel, a rotary dial for drive modes, and a floating center console.
The Maruti eVX will compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Curvv.ev in India. Toyota will also release a version of the eVX with a different badge a few months after its launch.
