Supacat has introduced the Medium Utility Vehicle Hi-Load, a military vehicle based on the Toyota Hilux. Made in Sydney, it offers a cost-effective option for defense forces.
The MUV is based on the HiLux dual-cab but has been heavily modified for better off-road abilities. Its chassis is extended for six-wheel drive, boosting performance on tough terrain.
Weighing 6.5 tonnes, it can carry up to 3,000 kg. It also features a remote weapon station, allowing military gear like a machine gun to be fired from inside the cabin.
The MUV's key advantage is its affordability, using many standard parts to reduce maintenance and costs. It keeps the 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine, with upgrade options for more power.
