Stellantis N.V. is poised to revolutionize the electric vehicle landscape by introducing its next-generation STLA Large platform, designed specifically for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). This platform features high-performance "extreme" powertrains, delivering an impressive 800 km range. Linked with the STLA Medium, previously utilized in the Peugeot e-3008 SUV, it demonstrates adaptability to hybrid powertrains, maintains a BEV-native structure, and accommodates various drive configurations.

The STLA Large platform is designed to accommodate Stellantis' largest vehicles, spanning across E and D segment cars, SUVs, and crossovers. European factories will undergo adjustments to facilitate local production of STLA Large electric vehicles. Initial models from Jeep and Dodge will be followed by the Maserati Levante and the luxury SUV replacement for Alfa Romeo. By 2026, this platform is set to support eight production cars, showcasing remarkable flexibility and performance to align with future advancements in drivetrains and battery technology.

Over the next decade, Stellantis intends to invest more than €50 billion, aligning with its dedication to electrification. The goal is to achieve 50% of passenger car Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales in the United States by 2030 and achieve full electrification with 100% BEV sales in Europe. Stellantis also has plans to introduce 48 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) by 2024, with a broader ambition to transform into a carbon net-zero corporation by 2038.
Stellantis has not provided any information regarding the introduction of an STLA-based model in the UAE. The positioning of Stellantis in the dynamic automotive market of the UAE with its innovative electric offerings remains to be seen, and we will need to await further announcements for details on its strategy in the region.
