Soueast S08 Luxury Launched in UAE — Same SUV, Smaller Price Tag

[Soueast S08 Luxury arrives in the UAE with seven-seat practicality and a starting price of AED 99,900 + VAT.]

Soueast Just Made Its Seven-Seat SUV AED 13,600 Cheaper — By Dropping the Hybrid

Want a Soueast S08 but don't care about the plug-in hybrid part? Now you don't have to pay for it.

The company has launched the S08 Luxury in the UAE, a straight-petrol version of its seven-seat SUV, priced from AED 99,900 plus VAT through Elite Group Holding, the brand's sole distributor here. No charging cable. No electric range to think about. Just a turbo engine doing all the work, and a lower sticker price to go with it.

It sits underneath the existing S08DM, which keeps its hybrid system and its higher price tag. The Luxury is basically Soueast's answer to anyone who looked at the S08DM and thought: nice SUV, don't need the battery.

Key Highlights

  • Soueast launches the S08 Luxury, a petrol-powered 7-seat SUV, priced from AED 99,900 plus VAT — cheaper than the hybrid S08DM
  • Powered by a 2.0-litre turbo engine (254 hp / 390 Nm) with an 8-speed automatic and Cloud-Sense CDC adaptive suspension
  • Loaded with tech and comfort features: 15.6-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, Boss Mode passenger seat, and panoramic sunroof
  • Backed by a 10-year/1-million-km warranty, 5 years roadside assistance, and 3 years free servicing
  • Sold via Elite Group Holding, with test drives live across UAE showrooms from August 25, 2026

The Money Side

AED 99,900 plus VAT gets you in. That's it — no complicated trim ladder to climb.

What you also get: a 10-year or 1-million-kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance, and three years of servicing, all included. Showrooms opened it up for test drives on August 25, 2026.

Engine

A 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder, good for roughly 254 hp and 390 Nm, sends power to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic. Eco, Normal, Sport — pick your mood.

What's actually worth mentioning is the suspension. Soueast calls it Cloud-Sense CDC — an adaptive air setup that reportedly adjusts every 20 milliseconds, with its own Comfort/Normal/Sport modes stacked on top of MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear end. Whether that translates to a noticeably smoother ride in real-world Dubai traffic is something reviewers will have to weigh in on eventually.

How Big Is It, Actually

4,810mm long. 1,930mm wide. 1,705mm tall. A 2,820mm wheelbase — long enough to explain where all that cabin space comes from. Fold the third row down and there's 1,780 litres of boot to fill.

Design-wise: chrome grille trim, slim LED headlights, handles that sit flush with the doors, 20-inch wheels, tail lights split into vertical bars. Five colours to choose from — Midnight Blue, Cosmic Silver, Snow White, Olive Gray, Starlit Black. Nothing wild, but nothing forgettable either.

Inside

Beige-and-grey leather cabin. A 10.25-inch driver screen paired with a 15.6-inch central display. Front seats are ventilated and powered, and the passenger side even gets a "Boss Mode" recline — the kind of feature you'd expect a few price brackets up.

Beyond that: three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, PM2.5 air filtering, a 12-speaker stereo, 50W wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Second-row seats recline between 25 and 41 degrees, and there are rear vents specifically aimed at surviving a UAE summer without everyone in the back complaining.

Safety

Adaptive cruise control, lane-keep and lane-change assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, auto emergency braking, traffic-jam assist. Add a 360-degree camera with an underbody view, plus fatigue detection for the driver. It's a fairly complete list for this price point.

Luxury vs. DM — What's the Real Difference?

Honestly? Not much, apart from what's under the hood. Same body, same cabin, same feature set for the most part. The DM keeps its plug-in hybrid setup and commands a higher price; the Luxury trades that for a conventional petrol engine and a smaller bill.

If the hybrid tech was never the selling point for you in the first place, the Luxury is essentially the same SUV — just cheaper to buy, and one less thing to think about at the pump or the charger.
