The updated Strategic Plan for 2024–2030 by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) aims to make Dubai the world's best city. This ambitious plan concentrates on five main objectives and aligns with Dubai Urban Plan 2040.

Innovative and Integrated Mobility
Eighty percent of daily services should be accessible by foot or bicycle within 20 minutes, according to RTA's 20-minute city concept. The plan prioritizes smart mobility solutions, multi-modal integration, and accessibility to create a more convenient and connected urban living environment.
Organization For The Future
RTA wants to draw, hold on to, and nurture talent as part of its "Future Proof Organization" goal. Positioning RTA as a forward-thinking, cutting-edge organization, the plan strongly emphasizes productive collaborations, R&D capacities, and adaptable technology infrastructure.
Transportation For Public With No Emissions
RTA unveiled a ground-breaking plan to implement net-zero emissions public transportation in Dubai, making it the first organization in the Middle East to do so. With a target of 42.5% sustainable transportation share by 2030, the strategy intends to convert all taxis and limousines to electric and hydrogen vehicles by 2040 and the entire fleet of buses to sustainable options by 2050.

Security, Safety, And Health
Ensuring the safety of both employees and passengers, the plan places a high priority on corporate security, asset security, occupational health, and safe transportation.
Customer Happiness
RTA creates innovative services proactively to improve the transportation experience by understanding needs and trends. This is part of its customer-centric approach.
RTA Initiatives For Self-Driving Transportation
RTA sees self-driving vehicles, real-time systems, and integrated mobility solutions as commonplace in the future. To establish Dubai as the first city to use American Cruise self-driving cars outside of the United States, plans call for operating self-driving electric Chevrolet Bolt vehicles.
"Studying and deploying integrated and soft mobility solutions, along with self-driving transport," is what Mattar Al Tayer stated as part of the future of RTA. The Strategic Plan 2024–2030, which positions RTA as a global leader in the changing road and transportation landscape, represents a commitment to innovative services, economic development, and the well-being of Dubai's residents and visitors as the organization moves closer to realizing its vision.
