Rolls-Royce has unveiled a custom-built iteration of the Phantom, named Dentelle. The "Dentelle" is the French word for lace, and the car has handmade couture lace with over 160,000 stitches. The design features a floral coachline motif to reflect the client's father's preferences. This Rolls-Royce Phantom, Dentelle, has been commissioned by a high-net-worth customer based in the Middle East as a gift for their father.
The model is curated through Rolls-Royce's exclusive Private Office in Dubai and inspired by high-fashion lace. The fabric used inside the Dentelle showcases a three-dimensional floral design and intricate elements that resemble the delicate shape of pearls, enhancing both interior and exterior designs.
While developing this custom-made Phantom, the Bespoke designers at Rolls-Royce created floral arrangements inspired by haute couture lace. Its embroidery employs a range of stitching techniques, thread densities, and color blends, including Rose Gold, Sunrise, and Oatmeal, to capture the textures of petals, ferns, and lace.
Additionally, a delicate, lace-like foundation features a triple run to establish the intricate mesh framework. Over the structure, it also features stain stitch outlines and floral designs, while the elevated establishments showcase original pearl accents. This piece is made using over 160,000 stitches layered through eight different stitching techniques.
Inside the Rolls-Royce Phantom Dentelle, the speaker grilles are finished in Rose Gold. There is also intricate embroidery work in both the Gallery and the rear Waterfall area, making the entire interior exceptionally detailed. The craft is designed to replicate the sheen of pearls and highlight light as one moves around the luxury sedan, particularly while sunlight changes during driving.
Nevertheless, the majority of interior surfaces are upholstered in leather shades of Sunrise and Grace White. In contrast, the space is further completed with Piano White veneer and embroidered "RR" monograms on both front and rear headrests.
The one-of-one Phantom has bespoke two-tone paintwork. The lower part is painted in Crystal over Arctic White, and the upper part is finished in Crystal over Palais Nemaskar Dawn, an exclusive color theme limited for Phantom series car buyers in the Middle East.
Regarding technical specifications, the Phantom Dentelle features 22-inch Fully Polished Disc wheels with body-colored centers and Arctic White center pinstripes. It also features the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, adorned in Rose Gold, preaches atop a polished Pantheon Grille. The bespoke engraved treadplates have been colored in Rose Gold.
However, the Dentelle continues to be powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing 563 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The luxury sedan can sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
