Renault 4 is set to be an electric revival of a classic model.
It will feature a retro design with modern touches like large alloy wheels and a backlit front emblem.
Expected to have a dual-screen infotainment system and a minimalistic interior.
Powered by front-wheel-drive powertrains with 148hp, 121hp, and 94hp options.
Battery options include 52kWh and 40kWh packs.
Founded in 1899, Renault is honoring its history with a major move towards electrification. The new Renault 4 will be part of the brand's electric revamps of classic small cars.
Renault has teased the production version of the Renault 4 ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show this month. Unlike the rugged design of the 2022 concept, the production model seems to follow a more classic supermini style, similar to the original.

The Renault 4 has a sharp, angular design with retro-style round headlights. The rear features modern vertically stacked tail lights, and stylish body cladding highlights the wheel arches. Large alloy wheels give the EV a bold appearance.
New images also suggest the Renault 4 will have a backlit front emblem and an optional retractable fabric roof. Other details include trapezoidal quarter windows, a small roof spoiler, and sculpted lines along the door sills.
Although details about the Renault 4’s interior are limited, it is expected to feature a dual-screen infotainment system similar to the Renault 5 and a minimalist dashboard design.

The Renault 4 EV's design is influenced by the larger Renault 5 electric hatchback, with both sharing the Ampere Small EV platform. The Renault 4 EV will offer three front-wheel-drive powertrains like the Renault 5, with power outputs of 148hp, 121hp, and 94hp. It will also have two battery options: 52kWh and 40kWh.
Renault is expected to begin production of the Renault 4 next summer at its ElectriCity hub in northern France. However, it is unlikely to be launched in the UAE soon.
The upcoming Renault 4 marks a key step in Renault's move toward electrification, reviving a classic model with modern EV technology. While production will begin soon in France, the Renault 4 is not expected to arrive in the UAE in the near future. This EV blends retro design with cutting-edge features, highlighting Renault's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
