Range Rover and Range Rover Sport now made in Pune, India.

Jaguar Land Rover recently revealed that the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will be produced in India, marking the first instance of Range Rover models being manufactured outside the UK. These luxury SUVs will be tailored specifically for the Indian market, aiming to shorten wait times for Range Rover's growing customer base in the country.
Previously, these flagship SUVs were exclusively produced at the Solihull Plant in the UK, recognized by Jaguar Land Rover as "the global home of Range Rover." Moving forward, select trims will also be assembled in Pune, India, using knock-down kits.
Tata Motors, the parent company of JLR, owns the Pune plant. This facility has been the production hub for ten other JLR models aimed at Indian car enthusiasts, starting with the Land Rover Freelander. Currently, it produces the Range Rover Velar and Evoque, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Jaguar F-Pace.

In India, the Range Rover is offered in two variants: the HSE, which comes with a 3.0-liter diesel engine generating approximately 346 horsepower (258 kW / 351 PS), and the Autobiography, which features a 3.0-liter gasoline engine delivering around 393 horsepower (293 kW / 398 PS). Both variants are available in the long-wheelbase configuration. The HSE starts at ₹236 Lakh (AED 1,157,600), while the Autobiography is priced at ₹260 Lakh (AED 1,274,000).
In the UAE, the Range Rover is offered in four trims: HSE, SE, Autobiography, and SV. The Range Rover Sport variant is available in SE, Autobiography, and HSE trims.
Commencement of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport production in India marks a significant milestone for Jaguar Land Rover, as These models are being manufactured outside the UK for the first time. This move aims to cater specifically to the Indian market, reducing wait times for customers. The Pune plant, owned by Tata Motors, will handle this production, adding to its portfolio of JLR models already being produced there.
With various trims available in both India and the UAE, including the HSE, SE, Autobiography, and SV, these luxury SUVs continue to appeal to a broad range of customers, offering powerful engine options and high-end configurations.
