As part of an impressive demonstration of speed, power, and advanced engineering, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has created an incredible record at Sydney Dragway, Australia. On a public Wednesday night drag meet, Porsche's most capable road car and fastest EV impressed visitors by completing a solo quarter-mile run in just 9.083 seconds at a top speed of 252.04 km/h. It's a record performance by any unmodified production car on an Australian drag strip and also pushed the milestone of the International Hot Rod Association's speed limit of 241.4 km/h.

Taycan Turbo GT has been recognized as Porsche's groundbreaking innovation that blends forward-thinking technology, motorsport heritage, and outstanding performance. With launch control, it achieved up to 760kW of overboost power and then short bursts peaked at 815kW, proving the electric vehicle of the future will not be so powerful but also quick, thrilling, and uncompromising to drive.
Sydney Dragway has always seen heavily modified V8s and purpose-built drag race cars, but this time it encountered the performance of a production spec Porsche Taycan Turbo GT that not only created a great milestone but also amazed the automobile enthusiasts with its impressive performance.

Daniel Schmollinger, CEO and MD at Porsche Cars Australia, stated that Porsche focused on forefront performance and TayCan Turbo GT emphasized the brand's commitment to push boundaries, not just a lap time or acceleration figures, but how Porsche imagines the future of driving.
In the UAE, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has been one of the sought-after models of the company and has always been popular among motorsport enthusiasts and those who love drag racing and long-distance road trips.
