Dongfeng Nissan has unveiled the exterior design and high-level specifications of its all-new N6, its brand’s first plug-in hybrid sedan that was showcased alongside the new Teana. These two vehicles have been debuted as intelligent sedans at an event focused on Nissan’s operations in China. Both models are scheduled to go on sale by the end of this year. There are no official details on whether these models will also be introduced in other global markets, like the UAE.

Nissan President and ceo Ivan Espinosa stated that under the brand’s Re:Nissan plan, the company is redefining what Nissan delivers today and beyond. The company focuses on strengthening its core, reigniting Nissan’s heartbeat, and creating products that inspire excitement and trust. It is about a sharper, more focused product strategy, a stronger brand, and renewed commitment to the customers. He also emphasized the importance of the Chinese market for its business transformation and global growth.
The all-new N6 is Nissan’s first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan built on Dongfeng Nissan’s new energy technology architecture, sharing technological similarities with the popular all-electric N7 sedan. Its PHEV system pairs a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a 21.1kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery.

This Nissan hybrid sedan has 4,831 mm of length, 1,885 mm of width, and 1,491 mm of height. It boasts 2815 mm of wheelbase, which gives it an elegant silhouette with a spacious interior. The exterior profile houses a V-Motion signature grille and expressive LED lighting at the front and rear.
It gets sleek, organic lines for a confident and dynamic vehicle profile. While the exterior profile is streamlined, the cabin space has been designed to give comfortable and spacious seating for the passenger.

The new Teana comes with an updated design and advanced connectivity technology, while maintaining its premium comfort and sophistication, which has made it popular in China. Also, it is the first ICE vehicle in China to come mated with Huawei’s HarmonySpace5.0 smart cockpit.

Its exterior has been redesigned with sharp, elegant lines to look more premium and aesthetic. Inside the cabin, it has a new Huawei HarmonySpace5.0 smart cockpit and a new Huawei ‘SOUND’ audio system.
Nissan’s global product strategy focuses on offering customers a diverse range of products. In China, it aims to diversify product offerings with advanced ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
As part of Re:Nissan, the Japanese automobile manufacturer also aims to launch more products in the Middle East and strengthen the market positioning of flagship offerings like the Nissan Patrol.
