As the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is nearing its grand finale, the Nissan Formula E team aims to make a bold statement with its on-track performance and vehicle design expertise. After securing second place in both manufacturers’ and team standings, Nissan will compete in Rounds 15 and 16 at Excel London Circuit.

In this participation, the Nissan Formula E team will also give tribute to the UK-manufactured, third-generation Nissan LEAF by racing in a special edition teal blue version of the iconic cherry blossom livery. This decision not only marks a color change but also a tribute to 15 years of electric vehicle innovation, as proven by the Nissan LEAF’s global sales of approximately 700,000 units. New LEAF blends sleek aesthetics with real-world EV data to position itself as a more efficient and bold-looking electric vehicle for families.
British driver Oliver Rowland, who recently won the Drivers’ World Championship in Berlin, is returning to London with confidence and aiming to bring home more silverware. He has already made history at Excel Circuit last year, where he powered through from night on grid to secure the win. Additionally, Norman Nato is also returning to the #17 Nissan e-4ORCE 05 after missing the Berlin round. He has proven consistent in London, scoring points in three of the last four races at the venue.

With 2.09 km of semi-indoor track, the Excel Circuit presents a one-of-a-kind driving challenge. Winding through the Excel exhibition center and around Royal Victoria Docks, the Excel Circuit is the only track on the calendar with both indoor and outdoor segments. Its tight layout mainly benefits drivers based on their qualifying performance, as the overtaking opportunities can be seen on Turn 1 and between Turn 10 and 11 chicane.
Its unique grip transitions and limited passing zones make the energy management and strategic use of Pit Boost and Attack Mode critical for success in the race. For the weekend schedule, Free Practice is scheduled for 16:00 on Friday, Qualifying is at 12:20 on Saturday, and the Race is at 17:00 on Sunday.
