Mitsubishi has introduced the refreshed Outlander PHEV, featuring major upgrades to its performance and slight design tweaks. Currently, only the 2025 PHEV version has been revealed, while the petrol-only model is expected in 2025. Production for the updated PHEV will start in late 2024.

The updated Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV keeps the Dynamic Shield front like the Montero Sport and adds new LED lights. The side profile remains unchanged, but it now rides on redesigned 20-inch wheels and comes in a fresh Moonstone Gray color for added style.

Inside, the Outlander features a new 12.3-inch infotainment display, replacing the old nine-inch unit, with wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Ventilated seats and an upgraded eight-piece Yamaha speaker system further enhance the cabin's comfort and appeal.

The global Outlander PHEV has a 53-liter fuel tank and a larger 22.7 kWh battery, allowing it to travel up to 844 kilometers total and 86 kilometers on electric power alone. The updated model still uses all-wheel drive and the same 2.4-liter engine, together producing 301 horsepower.
The crossover offers multiple driving modes, including Power, Tarmac, Economy, Normal, Gravel, Mud, and Snow. You can also choose between parallel or series hybrid modes to improve power and efficiency. Mitsubishi has not yet announced the specific pricing for the 2025 Outlander PHEV.
