It is MG's second hybrid model in the Middle East after the launch of the MG 8 plug-in hybrid sedan. The flagship hybrid SUV features a 1.5-liter turbcharged petrol engine coupled with an electric motor, churning out 221 hp of power output and 340 Nm of torque. In terms of design, it gets a bold black grille with chrome accents, slim LED headlights, a full-width rear light bar, silver roof rails, and a sporty rear spoiler. Inside the cabin is a comfortable seating arrangement with premium materials across the interior, heated seats, dual zone climate control, and a crystal-style gear selector.

The driver's dashboard packs a 27-inch dual digital display setup to integrate infotainment and driver information screens. Other major highlights about the MG HS Hybrid+ include a wireless smartphone charging unit, built-in navigation, and MG Pilot, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and blind spot detection. This flagship hybrid SUV from MG Motor has received a 5-star rating in the European NCAP safety crash test.
On the launch of MG HS Hybrid+, Tom Lee, MD of MG Motor Middle East, stated that this hybrid SUV strengthens the brand's hybrid lineup and underlines the brand's commitment to bringing smarter, sustainable mobility solutions in the region.
Currently, the HS lineup includes two petrol-only versions, including the 1.5T model with 173 hp and a 7-speed DCT and the 2.0T version with 231 hp and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
MG HS has been the company's best-selling model globally and was even named Middle East Car of the Year 2020. The hybrid version of this flagship SUV is available in MG showrooms across the Middle East with a starting price of AED 85,000. The SUV is backed by a 6-year or 200,000 km manufacturer warranty and an 8-year or 200,000 km battery warranty.
