At the Auto China event in Beijing, Mazda introduced its newest electric vehicle, the EZ-6, which was developed in partnership with Changan Mazda specifically for the Chinese market.
The Mazda EZ-6 is set to replace the combustion-powered Mazda 6 sedan. It features an electric drive system and will be available in both plug-in hybrid and battery-electric (BEV) versions. The BEV is expected to have a range of around 600 kilometers, with detailed technical specifications for both versions to be revealed later. The EZ-6 showcases a new design style, with retractable rear wings and sleek headlights seamlessly integrated into a wide grille.
The Mazda EZ-6 seamlessly combines Mazda's Kodo-Soul of Motion design philosophy and Jinba-Ittai driving experience with Changan's advanced EV technology, ensuring an intuitive and sophisticated driving experience.
The Mazda EZ-6 features luxurious amenities, including zero-gravity seats, a 64-color ambient lighting system, a 14.6-inch infotainment display, a panoramic glass roof, and a high-end 14-speaker Sony audio system.
The Mazda EZ-6 is set to launch in China by the end of the year, representing a significant step in Mazda's electrification efforts. If it is well-received in China, it may be introduced to other markets.
