Maserati, the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, has unveiled its all-new MCPURA as the brand’s latest masterpiece of engineering and cutting-edge design at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. First introduced in 2020, it's the incredible evolution of the MC20 Halo car and showcases the pinnacle of performance, luxury, and Italian craftsmanship. It also presents Maserati’s future director and focus to redefine the super sports car segment by blending raw performance and enhanced aesthetics.
Maserati MCPURA is not just a regular sports car, but its result of year-long innovation and philosophy on wheels. The new model is completely built in Italy at Maserati’s Viale Ciro Menotti facility in Modena and is inspired by the brand's motorsport roots and artisanal excellence.
Under the hood, MCPURA boasts a 630 CV V6 Nettuno engine, which is the same powertrain that powered the Maserati MC20. Maserati unveils this luxury sports car with a campaign tagline of E = MCPURA that references Einstein’s famous equation for positioning MCPURA as the ultimate energy of performance, elegance, and driving emotion.
MCPURA’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine is tuned to produce 630 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. This Formula-1 derived engine has a pre-chamber combustion system with twin spark plugs, a technological innovation patented by Maserati. The entire model weighs under 1,500 kgs as it's built with a carbon-fiber monocoque to achieve the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kg/CV and provide adrenaline-charged acceleration with every press of the pedal.
Maserati has launched both coupe and convertible (Cielo) versions of MCPURA, blending futuristic aesthetics with classic design. The exterior panels are sculpted for speed and emotion, while the butterfly doors strengthen their accessibility and unveil the carbon fiber structure beneath. The Cielo variant of MCPURA features a PDLC retractable glass roof that switches from opaque to transparent in just a single second.
Additionally, Maserati has also offered a unique Ai Aqua Rainbow color for this new generation luxury sports vehicle. While the coupe version comes in a matte finish, the convertible variant sees a gloss finish for a more attractive look. The color is developed under the Maserati Fuoriseri customization program and shifts in sunlight to create a vivid rainbow effect. Moreover, the MCPURA also features Magenta Trident emblems, laser-cut Alcantara Ice seats with 3D visuals, and refined metallic accents for a bold profile and Italian flair.
To make the MCPURA more personalized for the customer's needs, Maserati has offered more than 30 paint options, custom interior trims, and exclusive finishes. Some of the new color options include Devil Orange, Verde Royale, and Night Interaction.
