Deliveries are expected to begin in November 2026, making it Tesla's newest family-focused EV offering for the region.
Compared with the standard Model Y, the new Model Y L features a significantly larger footprint.
The extra dimensions create noticeably more passenger room while accommodating an entirely new third row.
Tesla has also redesigned the roof structure to improve comfort.
Key improvements include:
The front seats receive several premium upgrades, including:
The highlight of the cabin is the pair of luxury captain's chairs.
Features include:
Passengers in the rear also benefit from premium features.
These include:
Despite its larger size, the Tesla Model Y L UAE remains impressively quick.
Performance specifications include:
Cargo flexibility is another highlight.
Tesla claims the SUV offers up to 2,539 litres of cargo capacity. Even with all six seats occupied, there is room for two large suitcases and one cabin bag. Folding the third row creates space for as many as six large suitcases, making it suitable for family road trips and airport transfers.
The new Model Y L comes equipped with Tesla's latest safety hardware.
Key features include:
The Tesla Model Y L Premium sits above the existing Model Y lineup in the UAE.
Current pricing comparison:
That makes the new six-seat variant approximately AED 50,000 more expensive than the Premium RWD and around AED 20,000 above the Long Range AWD. Buyers considering a larger electric family SUV may find the additional seating and upgraded interior worth the premium, while it also positions itself above the Model 3 in practicality.
Owners of the Tesla Model Y L Premium will have access to Tesla's expanding UAE Supercharger network, which now includes more than 220 charging locations across the country.
However, buyers should note that this new variant is not eligible for Tesla's current complimentary Supercharging promotions.
The Model Y L has also debuted in the United States and China, highlighting Tesla's global strategy to boost demand with a more family-oriented three-row electric SUV.

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA has launched in the UAE with mild-hybrid engines, a futuristic Superscreen cabin, advanced ADAS features, and prices starting from AED 255,900.
