In the last couple of years, Lotus has gone through major changes, including shifting its focus from top-end ICE-powered models to producing easily recognizable, agile, and performance variants with more environment-friendly powertrain options. After being acquired by Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely, Lotus primarily focused on innovating high-performance electric cars for the global markets.

Lotus first unveiled its Eletre, an electric super SUV capable of delivering mind-boggling performance and cutting-edge features inside the cabin. Now, the supercar manufacturer has flagship Emeya, the brand's second non-fossil-fuel powered model, ensuring exceptional on-road performance.
The automaker has classified this slop-backed grand tourer as a hyper GT vehicle, hinting at its performance capabilities and ability to outperform the segment's heftier siblings. Lotus Emeya has a top speed of 256 km/h and can go 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds.
It's a supercar that houses a high-performance powertrain under the hood with an attractive posh sedan design. With elegant aerodynamic lines and superior build quality, the Lotus Emeya is surely a luxury supercar option for those who don't need only the power but also a supercar with superior performance figures.

Lotus has focused on maintaining some agility in its Emeya, and some major work can be found on steering and all-over control units, which work efficiently to handle this smaller and lighter car.
While the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT are already prominent choices in the market and have superior performance figures, the Lotus Emeya works because of its unmistakable ride quality, quickly absorbing all bumpy bits with ease.
The electric luxury super saloon can be charged 10% to 80% in less than 15 minutes, making it easier to charge to cover long trips with ease. Several carbon fiber stylings are offered inside the cabin, while the seat coverings are crafted using cloth offcuts from unnamed fashion brands. It's incredibly spacious compared to other options in the segment. Technological specifications look similar to its sibling, Lotus Eletre, which comprises a 15.6-inch infotainment screen with one of the fastest processors designed for the automotive industry.
Like top rivals Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT, the Lotus Emeya is a luxury supercar that can be used for everyday driving on city roads, absorbing uneven bumps for exceptional ride quality.
