Leaked images reveal a new Nissan pickup truck with a boxy design and larger size, hinting that its launch is near.
The leaked images suggest that the Nissan Yuanye Z9 will be sold only in China, replacing the 'D23' Navara, which has been around since 2017. This new model will boost Nissan's presence in the competitive pickup market.

The new Chinese pickup is 5,520 mm long, fitting between the US Frontier (5,692 mm) and the current Navara (5,260 mm). Its 3,130 mm wheelbase is longer than the Mitsubishi Triton (5,320 mm). The next Navara is expected to be based on the Triton, but the platform for this Chinese pickup is still unknown.
The Yuanye Z9 will have various engine options, including a 2.0-liter petrol engine with two versions: one with 190 kW and another with 182 kW. There's also a 3.0-liter diesel engine producing around 140 kW. A plug-in hybrid option is expected, putting it in competition with the Ford Ranger PHEV and BYD Shark.

In China, the Nissan Navara is sold through Zhengzhou Nissan, with Dongfeng offering rebadged versions and an electric option. In the UAE, Nissan's lineup includes models like the Sunny, Altima, Patrol, Kicks, X-Trail, X-Terra, Pathfinder, Patrol Safari, Z, and Urvan. There’s no information yet on the launch of the new pickup in the UAE.
The upcoming Nissan Yuanye Z9 is set to replace the Navara in China, offering multiple engine options, including a possible plug-in hybrid. While it's expected to strengthen Nissan's presence in the competitive pickup market, details about its global release, including in the UAE, remain unclear.
