The G-Class has been updated, with the base G550 model now featuring a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with mild-hybrid technology instead of the previous V8. Despite this change, the new G550 boasts 27 additional horsepower compared to its predecessor.

Despite its luxurious amenities, the G-Class maintains its off-road capabilities with 9.5 inches of ground clearance, and the G550 model is equipped with three mechanical differential locks.
The G63 AMG offers additional off-road features such as AMG Active Ride Control for improved ride comfort and less body roll, along with hydraulic roll stabilization and adjustable adaptive damping. Mercedes plans to begin production of the new G-Class soon, but pricing details have not been disclosed yet.
