The Land Rover Defender has always been a symbol of unmatched luxury, off-road mastery, and resilience, thanks to its state-of-the-art build quality and cutting-edge technology features, setting it apart from other luxury SUVs in the segment. With the addition of Defender OCTA Black, Land Rover has further pushed the boundaries, offering elite customers an exclusive option that combines rugged capabilities with bespoke luxury. The latest iteration of the new Defender has been introduced as the tough luxury 4x4 rock star, getting unmistakable blacked-out attire and the most extreme Defender build quality so far.

Land Rover has made the already aggressive Defender OCTA even more commanding. The Defender OCTA Black is finished in Narvik Black, the truest and deepest black in the Defender paint range, and is available in a standard gloss finish or an optional Matte Protective Film for customers seeking an even more aggressive and stealthy appeal.

Additionally, the exclusive OCTA Black offers over 30 exterior elements in a black finish, including a Satin Black Powder Coat front undershield and rear scuff plates, as well as Gloss Black quad exhaust tips, along with darkened Land Rover badging. Even the underbody elements are painted in Gloss or Satin Black finishes, including the exhaust silencer, tow eye cover, and optional deployable tow bar.
The new Defender OCTA Black is available with 20-inch forged wheels or 22-inch Gloss Black wheel options, both featuring black center caps and the Shadow Atlas Defender script. To complement this imposing look, there are Gloss Black brake calipers with contrasting Sentient Silver script.
Inside the Defender OCTA Black is a redefined luxurious cabin space, featuring Ebony Semi-Aniline Leather with Kvadrat fabric for the first time in the Defender lineup. This configuration offers a soft, high-end feel to the Performance Seats, featuring unique perforation patterns and detailed stitching. The seat backs and armrest hinges are finished in Carpathian Grey.

In simple terms, the interior features a blacked-out theme, highlighted by a Satin Black Powder Coat Cross Car Beam and an optional Chopped Carbon Fiber finish. Land Rover has not only focused on offering top-end comfort levels to occupants, but also on creating a premium and purpose-built driving environment.
Under the hood, a 635PS 4.4-liter twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine is coupled with 6D Dynamics suspension and a dedicated OCTA Mode, providing superior off-road performance. Additionally, the OCTA Black is the tallest and widest Defender, enabling it to conquer even the most challenging off-road terrains.
To enhance the driving experience of the driver and front passenger, it features Body and Soul Seats (BASS), allowing them not only to listen to music but also to feel it physically. The experience is further elevated with a SUBPAC-developed and 700W Meridian-powered surround sound system that uses vibro-acoustic pulses for a full-body music experience.
The Defender OCTA Black features a redesigned headlight signature, flush-mounted smoked rear lights, and an updated 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Along with the introduction of Defender OCTA Black edition, Land Rover launched new color options, Sargasso Blue and Borasco Grey, for the standard Defender OCTA. Previously, the customers had options to choose from Charente Grey and Petra Copper finishes for the exterior. The brand also has plans to launch the exclusive Patagonia White Matte Wrap by the end of this year.
