The base model of the 2025 Kia Sportage comes with a 2.0L engine producing about 144 hp. The 1.6L turbo engine now delivers 177 hp, paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The hybrid version combines a 1.6L turbo engine with an electric motor, producing 241 hp total (177 hp from the engine and 64 hp from the motor). This update improves all versions of the Sportage.
