Kia EV3 has been named the 2025 World Car of the Year. The Kia EV was unveiled at the 2025 New York International Auto Show and judged by a panel of 96 international automotive journalists from 30 countries.

The EV3 measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,560 mm in height, and 2,650 mm in wheelbase. It features a front-wheel drive electric powertrain based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
It borrows some exterior design elements from the Kia EV9, giving it an upright SUV stance, which is preferred in most global markets.
The EV3 comes with multi-adjustable ambient lighting for the cabin, allowing you to set the driving mood. It also features a sliding table up front, a 25-liter storage compartment under the hood, and 460 liters of boot space. The Kia EV3 boasts a 30-inch combined widescreen display, featuring a 12.3-inch cluster, a 5-inch AC control panel, and a 12.3-inch infotainment display that extends across the center of the dashboard, allowing front seat passengers to access vehicle control settings.
The base model of EV3 comes with a 58.3 kWh battery pack, while the EV3 long-range variants pack an 81.4 kWh battery. Both models come equipped with a single electric motor capable of delivering 150 kW of power output and 283 Nm of torque, allowing the EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 170 km/h. The EV3 long-range version offers a range of up to 600 km (WLTP).
Additionally, the EV3 is the first Kia car to feature the brand’s new i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking technology, which allows drivers to adjust the level of regenerative braking according to their driving preferences.
Apart from the Kia EV3, other flagship models from globally renowned brands also received notable awards. For instance, the Volvo Ex90 was named 2025 World Luxury Car of the Year, the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS was named 2025 World Performance Car, and the Hyundai Inster was named 2025 World Electric Vehicle of the Year Award.
