Jetour has introduced the extended version of its flagship T2 SUV at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show in China. The all-new Jetour T2 is available in 7-seater and two powertrain options, petrol and plug-in hybrid. Depending upon the market, the SUV to be named Jetour T2 Extended or T2 Plus, offering more space and practicality while retaining the core features of a standard T2 SUV.

7-Seater Jetour T2 Gets Larger Dimensions

With the debut of the Jetour T2 7-seater SUV, the Chinese automobile manufacturer has offered family car buyers more space and practicality, making their long trips comfortable and convenient. While the wheelbase remains the same at 2,800 mm, the overall length has increased by 249 mm, reaching 5,034 mm. The width remains 1,966 mm, and the height is 1,880 mm. However, the ground clearance varies based on the powertrain, as the petrol version offers 220 mm of ground clearance while the hybrid offers 201-205 mm of ground clearance. The SUV has a 70-liter fuel tank capacity and 1,600 kg towing capacity.

Jetour T2 Interior and Cargo Space

The new Jetour T2 features a third row of seats, making it an ideal choice for family SUV buyers. The third-row bench seating is suitable for children or short journeys and can be folded to make the luggage compartment even more spacious. When the second and third rows of seats are folded, the cargo space can reach up to 1,653 liters. The boot space also features handy built-in handles for carrying small gear. However, the dashboard and front cabin have been retained the same as in the standard Jetour T2.

Jetour T2 Extended/Plus Powertrain

A 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission featuring a hydrodynamic torque converter, delivering a maximum power output of 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque. Its multi-plate clutch system powers all wheels and activates the rear axle when needed. There is also a plug-in hybrid variant for the T2 Extended, which features a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a single electric motor, delivering a combined power of 224 hp and 390 Nm of torque. It gets a three-speed hybrid automatic transmission and delivers up to 120 km of all-electric range with its 26.7 kWh battery pack.

The top speed of the T2 Extended with the base hybrid option is 203 km/h, while the petrol option offers a top speed of 190 km/h. A full-hybrid AWD option also features an additional rear-mounted electric motor, resulting in a combined power output of 462 hp and a torque of 700 Nm. It features a larger 43.24 kWh battery, delivering up to 206 km of pure electric range and a top speed of 200 km/h.

Jetour T2 Extended Availability in the UAE

Jetour T2 Extended was unveiled in China and is now confirmed for the international market launch. Considering its growing presence in the Middle East, including the UAE, it is expected that Jetour will launch its 7-seater T2 SUV in the region in the coming months.
