Isuzu Thailand has unveiled a teaser for the upcoming facelifted Mu-X SUV, which is based on the D-Max ute. Expected major updates include a redesigned grille and new LED headlights, signaling a more comprehensive refresh.
While exact details remain undisclosed, the Mu-X facelift is expected to retain its current powertrain options: a 3.0-liter DDI 4JJ3-TCX engine delivering 140kW/450Nm and a 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC engine producing 110kW/350Nm. A 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine with mild-hybrid assistance is anticipated to arrive next year. The standard transmission is a six-speed automatic.

The teasers for the new Isuzu Mu-X suggest several updates, including slimmer LED headlights and a new RS trim level, potentially indicating an off-road variant similar to the Ford Everest Wildtrak. While details are still under wraps, the RS model is expected to feature additions like the Rough Terrain mode from the updated D-Max.
Mirroring updates to its bakkie counterpart, the Mu-X's lower-end models may receive a new seven-inch digital instrument cluster. Additional enhancements include nine and seven-inch touchscreen infotainment systems, improved materials, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

The new Mu-X is anticipated to feature advanced driver-assist technologies like autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Safety features will likely include lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring, with additional highlights such as rear-cross traffic alert and pedal misapplication mitigation.
Upcoming Isuzu Mu-X promises significant updates, including a refreshed exterior with slimmer LED headlights and a new RS trim level potentially suited for off-road adventures. Retaining its robust powertrain options, the Mu-X also introduces interior enhancements like digital instrument clusters, upgraded infotainment systems, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Additionally, the inclusion of advanced driver-assist technologies and comprehensive safety features further enhances its appeal, making it a well-rounded choice for SUV enthusiasts.
