Honda unveils the 0 Series concepts, featuring the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV, at CES 2025.
The 0 Saloon offers a futuristic, low-profile design, aiming to be the flagship of Honda’s electric lineup.
The 0 SUV, based on the Space-Hub concept, focuses on flexibility and visibility, with plans to launch in North America in early 2026.
Both models will feature Honda's ASIMO OS for personalized optimization and AI-driven driving adjustments.
Honda aims for Level 3 autonomous driving in the 0 Series, allowing hands-free driving in certain situations.
Honda has revealed its futuristic "0 Series" at CES 2025, offering a glimpse into its electric vehicle lineup for 2026. The standout models include the sleek Honda 0 Saloon and the versatile 0 SUV, set to redefine the brand's electric offerings.
First up is the 0 Saloon, arguably the most radical design Honda has ever considered. Its wedge-shaped form appears straight out of a sci-fi film, blending futuristic styling with subtle nods to the past.
Sitting low to the ground, its profile evokes memories of '80s supercars rather than a conventional sedan. However, its striking looks aren't just for show. Honda is positioning it as the flagship of its new electric lineup, featuring "low height and sporty styling" to distinguish it from the many electric cars on the market today.
Next up is the 0 SUV, which balances practicality with a futuristic flair. Based on last year's Space-Hub concept, it aims to create what Honda refers to as "an ever-advancing space."
With its boxy yet aerodynamic design, the 0 SUV stands out for its flexibility and visibility. Honda plans to launch it in North America in early 2026, followed by Japan and Europe, making it the entry model in the 0 Series lineup.
Both models will feature Honda's new ASIMO OS, named after their robotics legacy. This system promises "ultra-personal optimization," likely using AI to learn from your driving habits and adjust everything from seat settings to climate control for maximum comfort.
They are also targeting Level 3 autonomous driving, allowing you to take your eyes off the road in specific situations, offering true self-driving capabilities.
Honda has kept technical specs under wraps, but the 0 Series follows a "Thin, Light, and Wise" design philosophy. This could lead to thinner batteries, lighter vehicles, and improved aerodynamics. The Saloon is aiming for a range of over 300 miles, which would position it as a serious competitor in the EV market.
Production is expected to begin in Ohio, marking Honda's entry into the full-scale EV revolution.
The unveiling of Honda's 0 Series concepts marks an exciting step into the future of electric vehicles. With groundbreaking designs like the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV, Honda is positioning itself as a strong contender in the EV market. With advanced technology, promising range, and a focus on sustainability, the 0 Series has the potential to redefine how we think about electric mobility. As production kicks off in 2026, Honda is setting the stage for a new era in automotive innovation.
