The Genesis GV70 Electrified gets major updates, including an 84 kWh battery similar to the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5. It becomes Genesis' third all-electric model after the G80 and GV60.

The Electrified GV70 is built on a modified petrol platform rather than the E-GMP architecture. While the new WLTP range hasn’t been confirmed, it’s expected to improve to around 500 km, up from the current 445 km, thanks to advancements seen in the Ioniq 5.
The Electrified GV70 now features an electronically controlled charging port flap with a heating element for better visibility in cold weather. The dual-motor AWD powertrain remains unchanged, offering 360 kW and 700 Nm in Boost Mode. Despite the upgrade to an 84 kWh battery, the SUV’s compact design maintains its 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.2 seconds.

The updated Electrified GV70 features design changes like a new front bumper, refreshed alloy wheels, repositioned rear indicators, and a sleeker rear spoiler. It also adopts several tech upgrades from its petrol counterpart, including a touchscreen climate control, a 27-inch OLED display, over-the-air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Other enhancements include fingerprint authentication, micro-lens LED lighting, an aroma diffuser, augmented reality navigation, and UV sterilization.

The 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 starts at $66,950 (AED 245,873.88) for the Advanced AWD and $73,750 (AED 270,846.88) for the Prestige AWD, both offering an estimated range of around 236 miles. Genesis is expected to launch the electric GV70 in the UAE next year.
The 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 represents a significant step forward in luxury electric SUVs, offering impressive performance, cutting-edge technology, and a sleek design. With upgrades like a larger battery, faster charging capabilities, and an enhanced interior, the GV70 is set to compete strongly in the luxury EV market. Expected to launch in the UAE next year, it provides a compelling choice for those seeking a sophisticated, eco-friendly driving experience.
