At IAA Mobility 2025, Ford has unveiled two electrified models, the new Ford Range MS-RT PHEV and E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT. Both vehicles have been launched with bold, rally-inspired profiles and built in collaboration with MS-RT, the brand’s long-time motorsport partner. As a result, Ford has presented its all-new road-going machines with motorsport DNA.
Ford Ranger has been one of the brand’s best-selling pickups in the global market, particularly in Europe, but the new Ranger MS-RT PHEV takes the performance and practicality to the next level. It gets a 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol engine paired with a 75kW e-motor and a 10-speed automatic gearbox. This hybrid powertrain setup makes the Range MS-RT PHEV produce 281 PS and 697 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Ranger to date.
With a battery capacity of 11.8kWh, it can offer a pure electric range of up to 40 km. Additionally, it has a 3500 kg towing capacity and boasts 1 tonne of payload capacity, adding to its overall strength and sustainability. Ford has also provided an e4WD system, its full-time four-wheel drive system, to keep it capable of driving on all terrains.
The MS-RT Ranger is not an ordinary pickup from the brand but a powerful machine with a rally-inspired and street-dominating profile. It gets an updated honeycomb grille, integrated splitter, flared wheel arches, and 21-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The pickup also gets suspension tweaks, a lowered stance, and a ducktail spoiler for aerodynamics. Inside the cabin are Eco-Leather and suede sports seats, a heated sports steering wheel, and even LED-illuminated MS-RT badges.
Ford also revealed the E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT, an ultimate lifestyle van, at IAA Mobility 2025. It has been designed to carry up to eight passengers comfortably and comes with bold styling and serious practicality configurations.
In terms of performance, it houses an all-electric powertrain setup capable of delivering 285 PS and has adaptable driving range options. Interestingly, the lifestyle MPV has a track-mounted seating system that allows second and third rows to slide or be removed entirely, making it ideal for family road trips. For comfort, Ford has offered heated sports seats, blue contrast stitching, a 13-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen, and a premium cabin.
The exterior of E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT gets an aerodynamic front bumper, a coast-to-coast LED strip, and bold MS-RT color options, including Turini Purple, Fast Blue, and Sunset Orange. The luxury MPV rides on 19-inch Anthracite alloy wheels and has a carefully designed side profile.
