Ferrari has unveiled its latest masterpiece called the 849 Testarossa, which has been presented as a plug-in hybrid berlinetta and marks its official debut to succeed the SF90 Stradale. The all-new Ferrari 848 Testarossa gets a powerful hybrid powertrain setup that comprises a twin-turbo V8 engine and three electric motors to deliver a combined power output of 1,050 cv, making it the most powerful series-production Ferrari to date.

The new model brings an incredible fusion of cutting-edge hybrid technology, iconic Ferrari design language, and historic importance carried by the Testarossa name. First launched in 1956 and became popular in 1984, the "red head" returned as a symbol of Ferrari's bold blend of tradition and innovation.
Under the hood, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa packs a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of churning out 830 cv, which has been paired with three electric motors to add 220 cv in power output. As a result, this hybrid setup generates 1,050 CV of power delivery through its advanced All Wheel Drive system with torque vectoring technology.

It's Ferrari's latest hybrid system and is said to be inspired by Formula 1 technology. With this powertrain setup, the drivers can expect up to 25 km of full-electric driving using eDrive mode. The 849 Testarossa also has the brand's new turbocharger, claimed to be the largest unit fitted in any Ferrari production car, enabling it to ensure unprecedented throttle response and acceleration.
Despite featuring a hybrid powertrain, Ferrari's engineers have managed to keep the weight of the internal combustion engine (ICE) unit equivalent to that of the SF90 Stradale. This careful balance contributes to one of the best power-to-weight ratios among cars designed for on-road performance. Moreover, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and achieve over 340 km/h of top speed.
With the launch of Testarossa, Ferrari has introduced a radical new design with inspiration taken from 1970s Ferrari sports prototypes. It has sculpted lines, innovative aero channels, and the twin-tail rear design that make it look futuristic. As per the company's claim, Ferrari's newest innovation can produce downforce of 415 kg at 250 km/h, offering a 25 kg increase over the previous model and 15% improvements in cooling efficiency.

Ferrari's new ABS Evo controller and FIVE digital twin vehicle dynamic system add to the vehicle's sharper handling and consistent braking precision. From suspensions to tyres and braking systems, all have been upgraded for better grip, sound handling, and improved control.
Ferrari's expert design team, led by Flavio Manzoni, has created a cabin that looks both futuristic and driver-focused. It has a central gear gate inspired by the Ferrari F80 concept, whereas it also gets a redesigned steering wheel with a classic red engine start button. Now the digital interface has been integrated with tactile controls for a better driving environment.

There is an option for customers to choose between comfort seats or lightweight carbon-fiber racing seats. For performance lovers, there is the Assetto Fiorano package that reduces the vehicle's weight by 30 kg with extensive use of carbon fiber, titanium, and track-optimized aero elements.
Additionally, Ferrari has launched new bespoke options, including two special paints, Rosso Fiammante and Giallo Ambra, as well as striking Giallo Siena Alcantara interior trim. There is a 7-year Genuine Maintenance Program included for the customers who buy the 849 Testarossa hybrid supercar, which covers all routine servicing at official Ferrari dealerships globally.
