Exeed UAE and AL Ghurair Motors have officially unveiled one of the most anticipated Exeed RX REEV plug-in hybrids in the UAE and Middle East region. The all-new RX Hybrid SUV is priced at AED 149,999 and positioned as a significant step towards the brand's electrified mobility ambitions.

Backed by advanced technology, exceptional performance capabilities, and a sustainable powertrain system, the Exeed RX REEV is one of the flagship models from the Chinese automobile manufacturer to strengthen its brand positioning in the UAE and Middle East Markets. Along with RX PHEV, the brand also introduced Exlantix ES and Exlantix ET at an event in Dubai.

Premium SUV in PHEV Iteration

The Exeed RX has already been a prominent model in the UAE with its feature-packed interior to deliver a luxurious drive experience. Despite having several tech features and amenities, the RX SUV has been priced very competitively. The SUV blends sharp styling with modern design elements, enhancing this flagship vehicle's overall look and appeal.

With the addition of a hybrid plug-in variant, Exeed has expanded its RX lineup and allowed customers to opt for even more sustainable options without compromising on luxury features. The Exeed RX REEV version gets hybrid technology by retaining all the strength of the petrol-powered RX while enhancing fuel efficiency, on-road range, and overall drive dynamics.

Exeed RX Super Hybrid REEV System

Exeed's Super Hybrid REEV system comprises a petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a combined range of over 1300 km. This advanced technology uses a 19.27kWh battery pack and a 70-liter petrol tank, making the SUV ideal for long-distance drive requirements.

The new generation Exeed Hybrid RX is mated with a three-speed super hybrid transmission, which offers 11 gear combinations to provide ultra-smooth and responsive drive performance. The powertrain system can deliver a peak power of 375 hp and ensure quick highway acceleration.

The plug-in hybrid underpins a high-performance CATL battery, enhanced by Exeed's M3P material system for added safety. In the collision condition, the system cut the power output within two milliseconds and developed to function even in extreme temperatures of minus 33 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius.

Exeed RX Powertrain & Performance

Exeed RX PHEV has a 1.5-liter turbo petrol inline-4 engine, a dual electric motor, a 17.27kWh battery pack, and a 70-liter fuel tank capacity. The dual electric motor delivers 221 horsepower, while the engine unit delivers 154 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. With combined performance, the hybrid system delivers 375 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque.

The Exeed RX PHEV is said to accelerate 0-100 km/l in 4.9 seconds and delivers only an EV range of 79 km. Additionally, it has three drive modes, Eco, Normal, and Sport, to provide an engine drive experience.

EXEED RX Hybrid Charging

The automaker claimed that the RX PHEV could be fully charged in 3 hours using a 6.6kW system, while with a 74kWh fast charger, it takes only 20 minutes.

Exeed RX PHEV Interior Features

Similar to the petrol version of RX, the Exeed RX PHEV also gets tons of technology features, including a 24.6-inch curved dual-screen setup, W-HUD, 50W wireless smartphone charging unit, 540-degree camera system, and 8 airbags as standard; it also boasts advanced driver assistance technology, which includes brake assist, ESP, roll stability control, lane departure warning, and lane change assist.
