On December 15th, EXEED unveiled its advanced REEV technology at a media event in Beijing, showcasing its leadership in innovation. The REEV system achieved impressive performance with over 44.5% thermal efficiency and a remarkable 3.7 kWh/L oil-to-electricity conversion rate, setting a new standard in the global automotive industry.
At the event, leading automotive media from the Middle East had the opportunity to test drive the ET REEV four-wheel-drive variant featuring the advanced technology. Their assessments praised the vehicle's remarkable performance, especially its acceleration, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
Dr. Gao Xinhua, CTO of EXEED, explained that the EXEED REEV system uses an innovative configuration combining a generator and a drive motor. Powered by a fifth-generation high-performance range-extender engine, it achieves a thermal efficiency over 44.5%. The system's core components, including the range extender and drive motor, have transmission efficiencies exceeding 98.5%, setting a new standard for transmission efficiency, making EXEED a global leader.
These impressive thermal and transmission efficiencies result in a fuel-to-electric conversion rate of 3.7 kWh per liter of fuel, maximizing energy efficiency. The system also features a high-performance range-extending battery that supports rapid charging, reaching 20% to 80% in just 17.5 minutes. This dual benefit of "energy savings" and "energy expansion" effectively eliminates range anxiety, providing an optimal driving experience.
To achieve an exceptional driving experience, the EXEED REEV system combines superior energy efficiency with dynamic performance. It delivers a total output of 345 kW and peak torque of 7,400 Nm. The performance is further boosted by the high-efficiency, high-power integrated range-extender engine, generator, and drive motor, creating a strong balance between energy use and performance.
This advanced powertrain ensures stable performance in various driving conditions while offering impressive acceleration. The ET REEV four-wheel-drive variant, when fully charged, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, providing a driving experience similar to that of pure electric vehicles.
The EXEED REEV system is enhanced by an all-terrain intelligent four-wheel-drive (4WD) system, featuring advanced technologies like the IAS intelligent air suspension and CDC damping system. These innovations allow for precise, millisecond-level adjustments to suspension damping, optimizing stability and comfort across various road conditions.
The intelligent torque vectoring control enables dynamic front-to-rear axle torque distribution, ensuring efficient power usage in all driving situations. Additionally, the 4WD system offers up to seven driving modes, including special settings for sand and snow, to improve performance in tough conditions. This comprehensive setup provides an exceptional driving experience, ensuring superior handling and safety on any terrain.
After testing the ET REEV four-wheel-drive variant, Mostafa Missary, a representative from CarBike360, the leading automotive media in the Middle East, praised the vehicle's exceptional performance. He noted, "The vehicle offers an ideal combination of speed and excitement in its driving experience. The luxurious interior and attention to detail further elevate the overall impression, reflecting a strong commitment to quality."
As per the latest press release, EXEED plans to launch the ET model in the UAE in the first quarter of 2025.
EXEED's innovative REEV technology sets a new standard in the automotive industry, combining high energy efficiency, exceptional performance, and cutting-edge features. The advanced powertrain and intelligent systems ensure a dynamic driving experience, while the system's efficiency addresses range anxiety with impressive fuel-to-electric conversion and fast charging capabilities. With upcoming launches in key markets like the UAE, EXEED is poised to make a significant impact, offering a perfect balance of luxury, performance, and innovation.
