The Range Rover Electric has undergone extreme heat tests in the UAE and cold tests in the Arctic Circle.
Features the most advanced thermal management system ever fitted to a Range Rover for exceptional cabin comfort.
The Intelligent Torque Management system reduces torque reaction time significantly, ensuring high off-road capability.
Equipped with an in-house assembled electric drive unit, 800V charging system, and around 530 hp, the electric model offers dual-motor tech and exceptional towing and off-road abilities.
Built alongside hybrid versions at JLR's Solihull facility, with plans to transition to Tata’s Somerset gigafactory packs for batteries.
The all-new Range Rover Electric prototypes are being rigorously tested in the UAE's desert heat, with temperatures surpassing 122°F, after earlier testing in the Arctic Circle.

JLR is testing the new thermal management system in the Range Rover Electric, designed for optimal cabin comfort. The brand claims it’s the most advanced system ever used in a Range Rover.
Additionally, the test mules are being evaluated on Sharjah's Big Red dune to assess the new Intelligent Torque Management system, which reduces torque reaction time from 100ms to just 1ms, with no performance decline after five continuous attempts.

The electric Range Rover features an in-house assembled electric drive unit and battery, along with an 800V charging system. Like the ICE version, it offers outstanding "go-anywhere" capability, including excellent all-terrain performance, towing capacity, and the ability to wade through approximately 850 mm of water.
The electric Range Rover is expected to deliver nearly 530 hp, featuring dual-motor technology for enhanced off-road capabilities and four-wheel drive. JLR's test program focuses on thermal derating, underfloor durability, and battery performance.

The electric vehicle will be manufactured alongside hybrid models at Solihull, UK. Initially, it will use third-party batteries before switching to packs from Tata's Somerset gigafactory.
The prototype of the Range Rover Electric is painted all black and closely resembles the ICE version, with only slight differences. JLR highlights that the design maintains the Range Rover's iconic lineage, with minimal changes compared to existing powertrains.

The Range Rover Electric has successfully completed this crucial development phase, with efforts now focused on enhancing its luxury features in preparation for customer reservations beginning in 2025.
The Range Rover Electric has made significant progress in its development, successfully undergoing extreme weather tests and showcasing impressive off-road and luxury capabilities. With its advanced thermal management system, dual-motor technology, and exceptional all-terrain performance, it is poised to redefine the electric luxury SUV market.
As JLR continues to refine its features, the Range Rover Electric will be available for reservations in 2025, marking an exciting step forward in the brand's electric future.
