The Dubai-based billionaire Balvinder Singh Sahni, also famous as Abu Sabah, is well-known for his ultra-luxury automobile collection and unwavering passion for extravagant number plates. He first came to media attention in 2016 when he purchased five car numbers for Dh33 million.

Abu Sabah, a chairman of RSG Group, remarks that the cumulative worth of several VIP number plates he has surpasses the value of Rolls Royce and other ultra-luxury cars in his car collection.
In an interview with Khaleej Times, the Dubai-based billionaire said that he has a dozen VIP number plates, but he doesn't want to disclose them publicly. He also said that he holds both Dubai 5 and Abu Dhabi 5 plates, which are the most expensive number plates in his collection. All the number plates he has are worth more than Dh 100 million, while the total cost of these VIP plates is higher than the value of his luxury cars.
Out of all these plates, Dubai 5 is his favorite number plate that he often uses while traveling to the city.
Abu Sabah said that when he came to Dubai, he had many Rolls Royce cars, but then he noticed that every house here had a Rolls-Royce. If Abu Sabah has two, others have three. However, the story started in 2006 when he went to an ultra-luxury hotel, and he wasn't allowed to enter it. The staff asked if he had a reservation or was staying there.
Abu said he came to visit the hotel, but the hotel staff asked him for a reservation or showcasing the 2-digit number plate. He didn't have one, so he visited the auction and purchased three two-digit number plates for Dh 2.8 million each.
The billionaire Abu Sabah regards the number 9 and the blue color as good fortune and mostly uses a blue pen for signatures. He has a long history with numbers. For instance, before moving to Dubai in 2006, he lived in Kuwait, where he became a headline after purchasing the most expensive mobile number, which cost Dh600,000. Abu had very good relations with Kuwait's royal family.
Abu Sabah's day starts at 6 a.m. with a one-hour morning walk. After that, he visits the project sites before going to his central office. He also plans and schedules meetings with government offices and has interactions with business partners before coming back home, often continuing until late at night. Sabah is highly motivated, organized, and engaged with his profession, never letting him experience boredom. The billionaire says he has only one passion, and it's to make money.
