Chery, a leading Chinese automaker, hosted the 2023 Chery Tech Day under the theme ‘Technology Within Reach.’ The event was organized as part of the Chery International User Summit and featured several technical zones for showcasing the latest technological advancements made by the company.

The automaker stated that it applied for and acquired over 26,000 patents, becoming a prominent player in the industry. Chery has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards, and has also been featured as a national-level Innovative Enterprise three times.

With the Chery Tech Day event, the company notifies its commitment to an independent innovation strategy that has helped Chery develop in-house expertise in manufacturing complete vehicles, powertrains, and other critical components. The continuous technological innovation by Chery covers core areas like traditional automobiles, new energy streams, intelligent connectivity, and automated driving.

During the event, the automaker showcased its strategic plans for the next five years. According to industry reports, the automaker has set over a 100 billion Yuan budget to run R&D initiatives and aims to operate 300 laboratories worldwide. These initiatives will empower Chery to become a pioneer in intelligent cabins and autonomous driving technologies. The automaker aims to become an internationally competitive automotive brand with a presence in global markets.

Automaker’s initiative to incorporate advanced technologies has helped it register sustainable sales growth. From January to September 2023, Chery collectively sold 1.253 million units of its vehicles, surpassing the sales figure for the previous year.
