Ahead of IAA Mobility 2025, BMW has unveiled the next-generation iX3 electric SUV. It's the first model of the Neue Klasse range of EVs and positioned as a C-segment SUV in its global portfolio. With its long-range capability, the new BMW iX3 electric SUV is said to be one of the crucial models for the Bavarian giant. After its global debut, it will go head-to-head with flagship models like the Audi A6 e-tron and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC EV.

In terms of exterior design, the next-generation iX3 incorporates the brand's new design philosophy. It comes with aerodynamic improvements with a drag coefficient of 0.24Cd. The luxury SUV gets an upright nose, vertically arranged BMW kidney grilles, and slim headlights with a new light signature. The side profile of the electric SUV features flush door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and clean elements that make it look more modern and premium.

The availability of 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, with optional 20-inch to 22-inch wheels, further improved the overall profile of the all-new BMW iX3. The rear profile gets broad taillights that are not joined together, instead featuring the brand's new interpretation of the signature L shape lighting setup. The light units also have separate sections, arranged in a diagonal layout. Both the rear bumper and spoiler have been designed with a sporty finish.

As per the available details, the upcoming BMW iX3 gets a 108.7kWh setup with 800V charging capability. With this configuration, the next generation of the brand's C-segment SUV supports 400 kW DC fast charging and is capable of delivering 372 km of range in just 10 minutes of charging. Additionally, its battery can be charged 10-80% in just 21 minutes on DC fast charge. Moreover, it comes with an 11kW charger as standard, with an optional 22kW upgrade.
Initially, BMW will launch the iX3 50 xDrive model that will come mated with a dual electric motor and all-wheel drive setup, and additional variants are likely to be launched in the future. This setup will churn out 469 horsepower and 645 Nm of torque, accelerating 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed of this luxury electric SUV will be 210 km/h and range between 679 km and 805 km on a single charge.
