The new BMW X3 L comes with two engine options to suit different performance needs. The base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine offers 190 horsepower, while the more powerful version delivers 258 horsepower.
Both engine options in the new BMW X3 L are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth and responsive driving. The model also features all-wheel drive, improving stability and traction in various conditions. Production will take place at BMW's Shenyang facility in partnership with Brilliance Automotive in China.

The new X3 L is 4,865mm long, making it 110mm longer than the standard model. Higher trims include an M Sport design package, giving the long-wheelbase version a sportier appearance.

BMW will offer the standard X3 in China with the imported M50 xDrive powertrain from the U.S. All X3 variants will feature an illuminated kidney grille, BMW Curved Display, and six paint options, including Frozen. The interior includes a distinctive BMW interaction bar on the dashboard and a flat-bottom steering wheel. BMW has not announced plans to launch the long-wheelbase SUVs in the UAE.
The latest BMW X3 L, with its extended wheelbase and enhanced features, is set to appeal to luxury SUV buyers in China. Offering more space, comfort, and performance options, this model builds on BMW's strong presence in the region. While the standard X3 brings imported powertrains and premium interior features, the long-wheelbase variant adds a sportier edge with the M Sport design package. Although its release in other markets, like the UAE, remains unconfirmed, the X3 L is a key addition to BMW's lineup, catering to the growing demand for spacious luxury vehicles.
