BMW has revealed the fourth-generation X3, featuring advanced technology, striking design updates, and a lineup of mild-hybrid engines with six- and four-cylinder options. Drawing inspiration from the all-electric iX, its interior sets a new standard in the compact luxury SUV segment.

The new BMW X3 has eliminated the 'i' suffix, introducing variants like the X3 M50 xDrive and X3 30 xDrive.
The new X3 is slightly larger than its predecessor and features updated design elements similar to the latest BMW X1. It includes a large kidney grille, which is illuminated on the flagship M50 xDrive (optional on the base 30 xDrive). The grille design resembles that of the upcoming 5 Series LWB and 7 Series, with variations in slat positioning across different variants.
Inside, the new X3 boasts BMW's curved display with iDrive 9 infotainment, similar to the current X1. It features a flat-bottom steering wheel, redesigned heated sports seats, and BMW's new woven fabric instrument panel, available in MY2025 models.

The BMW X3 lineup includes the 20 xDrive, powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine producing around 208 hp and 330 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.8 seconds. The 20d xDrive features a 2.0-litre diesel mild-hybrid engine generating about 197 hp and 400 Nm, reaching 0-100 kmph in 7.7 seconds. The 30e xDrive plug-in hybrid combines an 184 hp electric motor with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing a total of 300 hp and 450 Nm, and accelerates to 100 kmph in 6.2 seconds, offering up to 90 km of electric range.

The top-spec X3 M50 xDrive is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine delivering around 398 hp and 580 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250 kmph. All models come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW's AWD system.
The unveiling of the fourth-generation BMW X3 marks a significant leap in design, technology, and performance for the compact luxury SUV segment. With its range of powerful and efficient engines, updated styling, and advanced interior features inspired by the iX, the new X3 sets a new benchmark. The inclusion of the high-performance X3 M50 xDrive variant highlights BMW's commitment to blending luxury with sporty driving dynamics. This latest iteration reinforces BMW's position as a leader in the luxury SUV market.
