Bentley has once again pushed boundaries in automotive artistry with the debut of its first sedan featuring the exclusive ‘Ombré by Mulliner’ paint finish. This unique design innovation integrates two complementary paint colors across the length of the car, giving it a striking and truly bespoke stance. This Ombré finish has been applied entirely by hand at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England.

The model selected for this debut is the Bentley Flying Spur, which has been a well-recognized luxury sedan in the global market, appreciated for its unmatched refinement and presence. For this exclusive edition, the paintwork transitions from a vibrant Topaz Blue at the front to a rich Windsor Blue at the rear with gradient elements spreading across the doors, sills, and roofline. The entire process took about 60 hours of meticulous work by two master paint technicians, ensuring each design element perfectly seems symmetrical and flawless to the human eye.

Creating the Ombré effect is not a simple task; each car from front to rear has been painted separately before the blending process. The in-house paint technicians have used conventional mixing techniques, and the colors have been carefully adjusted to achieve a smooth and gradual transition. Bentley has offered the Ombré finish in three curated combinations, including Topaz Blue to Windsor Blue, Sunburst Gold to Orange Flame, and Tungsten to Onyx.

Each of these paint pairs has been carefully selected to ensure proper harmony and avoid color clashes or accidental creation of a new hue. Also, none of the cars under the Ombré series will seem identical, as every Ombré Bentley comes with a sense of individuality and exclusivity.
The Ombré Flying Spur made its global debut at Southampton International Boat Show, an ideal stage to highlight this level of craftsmanship alongside the world’s most luxurious yachts. Bentley’s popular luxury sedan follows the footsteps of the Continental GT, which was the first Bentley to feature this exclusive paint finish and was debuted at The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering, last year during Monterey Car Week.
