Aston Martin DBX S, a new range-topping variant, has been unveiled with the same powertrain configuration but with subtle upgrades to deliver more power output. The DBX S variant makes up 727 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful non-electrified SUVs, slightly more than the Ferrari Purosangue, which produces 725 horsepower. The all-new DBX also comes with an S badge, which is commonly used on its range of high-performance supercars.

Compared to the DBX 707, the Aston Martin DBX S produces 20 hp more power while retaining the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The company is said to rework with larger compressor wheel diameters taken from Valhalla and tuned for more urgency at the top end of the rev counter. As a result, the all-new Aston Martin DBX S accelerates 0-200 km/h in 0.3 seconds less than DBX 707, while the 0-100 km/h acceleration remains the same at 3.3 seconds. The DBX S has become even louder with the new exhaust system, and the steering wheel has been updated to ensure a 4% quicker response. The supercar manufacturer has continued to offer a variable all-wheel drive system and a 9-speed wet clutch automatic gearbox.
The exterior of the DBX S has been upgraded to make it distinct from its siblings, including the DBX 707. The front features a bold black grille, a new splitter, and wraparound daytime running lights (DRLs). The side profile features aerodynamic sills, carbon mirror caps, and signature ‘S’ badging. The rear looks even more unique with a quad-stacked exhaust, redesigned diffuser, and optional carbon add-ons to trim its weight. The availability of a new lower livery option adds to its sporty character with multiple color choices, including Rosso Corsa Red, Trophy Silver, and Podium Green.
The interior features a bespoke ‘S’ theme, visible in its unique herringbone stitch pattern on the seats. Alcantara trim comes standard, featuring semi-aniline leather in high-contact areas and an optional full leather interior. Several ‘S’ theme stitches make the interior more sporty and premium. The SUV features the brand’s latest in-house infotainment system, with an updated interface and improved connectivity. It has a 14-speaker 800W system and an optional 23-speaker 1600W system developed in collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins, ensuring a crystal-clear, immersive sound experience.
The newly introduced Aston Martin DBX S is expected to compete with the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne, and Ferrari Purosangue.
