Aston Martin DB12 S VMF Trio Debuts at Monterey Car Week 2026 With Le Mans DNA

Aston Martin has unveiled three one-off DB12 S coupes at Monterey Car Week 2026, combining modern super-GT performance with a rare connection to the marque’s Le Mans racing heritage.

The bespoke models — VMF 63, VMF 64 and VMF 65 — were created by Aston Martin’s Q personalization division and inspired by three historic DB2 race cars that competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans more than 70 years ago.

The debut also coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, adding even more significance to the showcase.

Key Highlights

  • Three one-off DB12 S models — VMF 63, VMF 64 and VMF 65.
  • Inspired by Aston Martin DB2 race cars from the 1950 Le Mans 24 Hours.
  • Each car features a unique heritage color: Rosso Red, Speed Yellow or Ellwood Blue.
  • The DB12 S retains its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with around 700 hp and 800 Nm.
  • Each VMF model is a single example, making the trio highly exclusive.

Three DB12 S Cars. Three Historic Racing Identities.

The names VMF 63, VMF 64 and VMF 65 come directly from the British registration plates of three Aston Martin DB2 race cars built for the 1950 Le Mans 24 Hours.

The original racers later competed for Aston Martin’s factory team and private entrants during the early 1950s.

One of their most recognizable features was their color-coded grilles, which helped distinguish the otherwise similar race cars.

Aston Martin has brought that idea back for the modern trio.

The Three Heritage Colors

Model

Heritage Accent

VMF 63

Rosso Red

VMF 64

Speed Yellow

VMF 65

Ellwood Blue

All three feature a Carbon Black exterior, creating a dark backdrop for their distinctive racing-inspired accents.

They also receive:

  • Painted carbon-fiber strakes

  • Special “75” Pebble Beach anniversary badging

  • Bespoke contrast stitching

  • Embroidered door-sill details

  • Q-designed personalization throughout the cabin

DB12 S Performance Stays Intact

Aston Martin has not added major mechanical upgrades to the VMF trio.

Instead, each car retains the performance hardware of the Aston Martin DB12 S.

Performance at a Glance

Engine: 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8
Power: ~700 hp
Torque: 800 Nm
Transmission: 8-speed automatic
0–100 km/h: ~3.5 seconds
Top Speed: 325 km/h
Brakes: Carbon-ceramic
Suspension: Adaptive damping

That means the three bespoke cars combine luxury-car exclusivity with serious GT performance.

Just One Example of Each

This is where the VMF trio becomes particularly special.

Only one VMF 63, one VMF 64 and one VMF 65 will exist.

Rather than simply creating another limited-edition Aston Martin, the company has built each car around a specific piece of its motorsport history.

For collectors, the combination of one-off status, Le Mans heritage and Q personalization could make the trio highly desirable.

Aston Martin Goes Big at Monterey Car Week

The DB12 S VMF cars are not Aston Martin’s only attractions at Monterey Car Week 2026.

The marque is also showcasing the Vanquish 25 Special Edition, celebrating 25 years since the original V12 Vanquish launched in 2001.

Vanquish 25 Key Numbers

Production: 50 units
Body styles: Coupe + Convertible
Deliveries: Q4 2026

Aston Martin’s Monterey presence also includes Astons on the Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea and an appearance at The Quail.

A historic DB2 is expected to be displayed alongside the new VMF trio, creating a direct link between Aston Martin’s legendary racing past and its latest performance cars.

Why the DB12 S VMF Trio Matters

The Aston Martin DB12 S VMF trio is less about chasing new performance records and more about turning racing history into modern collector cars.

By connecting three exclusive DB12 S models to historic Le Mans DB2 racers, Aston Martin has created a tribute that combines:

Le Mans Heritage + Bespoke Design + Modern Performance + Extreme Exclusivity

With just three cars produced worldwide, the VMF project could become one of the standout collector-focused creations from Aston Martin’s 2026 lineup.
