The seventh-generation Nissan Patrol has made its global debut in Abu Dhabi. Renowned for its toughness and luxury, the new model continues the Patrol’s legacy with an updated design and a stronger engine.

The Toyota Land Cruiser's competitor now features a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine from the GT-R supercar, replacing the older 5.6-litre V8. Despite being smaller, the new engine delivers more power, offering 431 PS and 700 Nm of torque, compared to the previous model's 405 PS and 560 Nm. The 7-speed transmission has also been upgraded to a new 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The new engine belongs to Nissan’s 'VR' family, used in high-performance models like the GT-R and Nissan Z coupe.
For off-road performance, the new Patrol features improved approach and departure angles. It has an air suspension system that can adjust the ride height by up to 70 mm. The SUV can wade through water up to 700 mm deep and has a towing capacity of 2000 kg.
The SUV features full-time four-wheel drive and a rear differential lock. Drivers can select from several new modes: Rock, Sand, Mud, Standard, Eco, and Sport.

The 2025 Nissan Patrol is built on a new ladder-frame chassis and is 35 mm longer at 5205 mm and 35 mm wider at 2030 mm. The height and wheelbase stay the same at 1955 mm and 3075 mm, respectively.

Design-wise, the new Patrol looks bold and rugged with its upscale look. It has a taller front with a wider 'V-motion' grille and new C-shaped LED headlights and daytime running lights.
The new Patrol has a rugged appearance with a high window line and bold side steps. At the back, it features double C-shaped tail lights and a prominent diffuser. Nissan has added two new colors: Radiant White and Forest Green.

A notable feature is the ‘Invisible Bonnet’ technology, which lets drivers see the position of the front wheels, making it easier for off-roading or parking in tight spots.

The new Nissan Patrol includes advanced safety features like a front radar sensor and a 170-degree front camera. It also has ProPilot technology, which offers adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
The Patrol is expected to launch in the UAE in November and is available for booking at Nissan's partner network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East. Prices start at around USD 65,000 (about AED 238,712).
