
Al Tayer Motors has introduced Deepal, a Chinese EV brand, in UAE with the model launches of Deepal G318, Deepal S07, and Deepal S05 SUV. Al Tayer Motors is one of the leading automotive dealerships in the UAE and has become the first dealership in the Middle East to offer Deepal electric vehicles to customers. This Chinese automotive brand is known for offering cutting-edge technology and enhancing vehicles with ongoing innovation.

Deepal and Al Tayer Motors initially unveiled three models, including Deepal G318, S07, and S05, featuring Extended Range Electric Vehicles (EREVs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). This fresh launch aims to redefine the region’s push towards adopting more sustainable mobility options. The booking and deliveries of the Deepal S07 SUV will begin first, followed by two other models from the Chinese EV maker.
Named after China’s famous G318 highway, the Deepal G318 SUV is a rugged EREV designed exclusively for long-distance adventure rides and off-road performance. The G318 SUV is equipped with a REEV powertrain option offering a 1.5L petrol engine configured with 18.4kWh with a single 248 hp electric motor and comes mated in an RWD option. In contrast, another 35.1kWh battery offers a dual-motor setup delivering 424 horsepower and comes in a 4WD option.

Comprising a futuristic look and tech futures, Deepal S07 is a capable mid-size SUV available in both EREV and BEV options. Also, as per the details available, the S07 SUV is the first model to be offered in UAE from Deepal. The sales will start in March 2025. This electric SUV measures 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, while the wheelbase of this Deepal SUV is 2,900 mm. Talking about Deepal S07 specifications, it is available as an EREV powertrain option that includes a 1.5-liter inline-4 Range Extender engine coupled with a single electric motor (RWD) to produce 234 hp of engine power and 320 Nm of torque. A 31.74kWh battery pack enables this EREV SUV to deliver 160 pure electric range with a combined range of 950 km.
The all-electric S07 EV trim offers a single electric model with a 56.12 kWh battery and RWD configuration to produce 258 horsepower and deliver a maximum range of 475 km. The exterior of the S07 EV looks sleek and has a sloping roofline, frameless doors with concealed handles, and petal-shaped headlights. Moreover, the interior looks premium with a 15.6 inch HD infotainment screen, augmented reality HUD, 14-speaker sound system, panoramic sunroof, and advanced safety features.
Deepal S05 is a compact SUV, also available in EREV and BEV powertrain options. The SUV has a sleek and futuristic design with top-end features capable of making it one of the best-selling products from Deepal in the UAE. Its EV option includes a single electric motor and a 56.12kWh battery to ensure a top range of 510 km on a single charge. Another EREV option places a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired with a single electric motor to deliver a combined horsepower of 214 hp. This powertrain option has a 27.28kWh battery pack to ensure a combined range of 1,234 km.
Currently, only Deepal S07 price details starting from AED 119,000 are available. On this electric SUV, Deepal has offered a 6-year or 150,000 km warranty on the vehicle and an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty on the battery. Pricing details for Deepal G318 and S05 compact SUV are expected to be released soon in the coming weeks.
