In a major move for China's premium EV sector, AITO, the luxury intelligent vehicle brand co-developed by Seres and Huawei, has signed a strategic partnership with Performance Plus Motors, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Motors (ADM), one of the UAE's leading luxury automotive dealer groups. Announced on February 6, 2026, in Chongqing, China, this deal marks AITO's official entry into the UAE luxury new energy vehicle (NEV) market and its first significant export foothold outside China.
The agreement was inked by Jason Wang, President of SERES AUTO Overseas BU, and Syed Faiz Karim, CEO of Abu Dhabi Motors. Performance Plus Motors will handle sales, delivery, after-sales service, and the establishment of brand experience centers across the UAE, ensuring a premium ownership experience tailored to the region's high-end buyers.
This partnership aligns perfectly with the UAE's accelerating shift toward sustainable mobility under initiatives like the UAE Green Agenda 2030. AITO brings advanced "software-defined" luxury EVs featuring Huawei's cutting-edge tech, including intelligent driving systems (like ADS 4.0), extreme-heat resilience suited to Gulf conditions, and seamless integration of AI and connectivity.
The flagship model, the AITO 9, a high-performance luxury SUV, has already started user test drives in the UAE, with vehicles arriving at Dubai port in preparation for launch. This positions AITO to compete directly in the premium segment against established European and American brands, capitalizing on the UAE's booming demand for luxury EVs amid oversupply from Chinese makers and strong government support for green tech.

For car enthusiasts and luxury EV shoppers in the Emirates, AITO's arrival introduces fresh options blending Chinese manufacturing prowess with Huawei's smart ecosystem. Expect models emphasizing range, advanced autonomy, spacious interiors, and desert-optimized features ideal for the region's climate and lifestyle.
This move also intensifies competition in the UAE's EV landscape, where Chinese brands like Jetour,, Geely, and others are already gaining ground. AITO's focus on "intelligent luxury" could appeal to tech-savvy buyers seeking alternatives to traditional luxury marques.
