Key Highlights

  • AGMC is now the official distributor of Lotus Cars in the UAE.
  • Three new Lotus showrooms will open in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
  • Dedicated aftersales facilities are planned for Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
  • The new Lotus Eletre X hybrid SUV is set to launch in the UAE soon.

Lotus is preparing for a major expansion in the UAE after officially appointing AGMC as its new distributor across the Emirates. The partnership marks an important milestone for the iconic British performance car brand, bringing improved accessibility, stronger aftersales support, and an exciting new product pipeline for UAE customers.

Lotus Strengthens Its UAE Presence

Announced in Dubai on June 24, 2026, the agreement gives AGMC responsibility for Lotus sales, aftersales operations, and customer experience throughout the UAE.

As part of the expansion strategy, AGMC will establish three new Lotus showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, alongside dedicated service centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The move significantly enhances the ownership experience for current and future Lotus customers by providing easier access to sales, maintenance, and technical support.

From Lightweight Sports Cars to Luxury Performance

Founded in 1948 by legendary engineer Colin Chapman, Lotus built its reputation on lightweight engineering and exceptional driving dynamics. Models such as the Elise, Esprit, and Seven became icons among enthusiasts worldwide.

Today, Lotus is evolving beyond traditional sports cars through its ambitious Focus 2030 strategy. The brand is expanding into luxury mobility while maintaining the performance-focused DNA that made it famous.

Lotus Line-Up Expands Across Every Segment

The UAE market now offers one of Lotus' most diverse model portfolios.

The Emira remains Lotus' final petrol-powered sports car, while the Emeya and Eletre showcase the brand's move into the high-performance EV segment.

New Lotus Eletre X Hybrid Coming Soon

One of the biggest announcements is the upcoming arrival of the Lotus Eletre X. Unlike the fully electric Eletre currently on sale, the new model adopts Lotus' advanced Super Hybrid powertrain.

The launch signals Lotus' transition toward a multi-powertrain future, giving buyers the flexibility of hybrid technology without sacrificing performance.

What This Means for UAE Buyers

For enthusiasts and luxury car buyers, this partnership is more than a distributor change. It reflects Lotus' growing commitment to the UAE, one of its most important regional markets.

With new retail locations, dedicated service facilities, and an expanding range of petrol, electric, and hybrid vehicles, Lotus is positioning itself for its biggest chapter yet in the Emirates.
