Acura has officially revealed the RSX Prototype, one of the most styled premium performance SUVs, during Monterey Car Week. Acura RSX Prototype is painted in Propulsion Yellow Pearl and has been previewed as the brand’s first all-electric model scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2026.
The luxury vehicle division of Honda revealed its RSX Prototype at two of the most prestigious events of the week, including The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, showcasing the brand’s bold step into the new generation of electrified and high-performance vehicle manufacturing.
The RSX is said to be the first model engineered in-house on Honda’s new global EV platform and will also become the first EV to be produced at Honda’s EV Hub in Ohio, where it will be co-manufactured alongside the Acura Integra at Marysville Auto Plant.
This flexible manufacturing approach will help Honda to assemble ICE, hybrid, and battery-powered vehicles on the same production line, highlighting the brand’s efficient and future-proof strategy to sustainable production.

The RSX Prototype is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup, Brembo brakes, and sport-tuned double wishbone suspension. It promises to offer unmatched driving performance on city roads and highways. Along with performance, it also functions as mobile energy storage, which makes it capable of powering appliances, charging devices, and even serving as home backup power.
Acura has also prepared itself for the Software Defined Vehicle era by offering ASIMO OS, a proprietary operating system designed to learn owner preferences and driving behavior. Previously launched at CES 2025, the ASIMO OS is charged with managing automated driving, infotainment, and advanced driver assist systems. Owners will have OTA updates to continuously improve, add new features, and deeply personalize the driving experience.
Acura RSX Prototype gets a coupe-like silhouette with fastback roofline, flared wheel arches, and 21-inch multi-spoke rims. The long wheelbase, short overhangs, and wider profile add to its athletic stance.
From the front, it features Acura’s Diamond Pentagon design language, with a separated headlight arrangement, including slim DRLs and low-mounted LED headlamps. The rear profile houses a full-width taillight strip that pays homage to the second-generation NSX, while Acura script across the tailgate introduces a new modern typeface.
Acura RSX production-spec model is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026, adding a new chapter in the brand’s journey towards an electrified future. With emphasis on dramatic styling, performance-driven engineering, and groundbreaking software, the RSX promises to deliver a deeply personalized driving experience.
